I’ve finally done it. I actually went out and created a tumblelog via tumblr. I’ve been hearing about them for quite a while now. It seems like just about every podcaster I listen to seems to think they’re the greatest thing since sliced bread (well, right after the iPhone). When I first heard about tumblr, I headed right over to their website to check out what the big deal was. At first glance, it seemed like just another twitter-esque website without the 140 character limitation and addition of images / movies. Though I enjoyed playing around with Twitter, I already didn’t have a real use for it, so why would I need a tumblelog?

Last night I logged into my VIRB account and saw an announcement from Mattm displaying his new customization for his tumblelog (tumbl.us). Once again I was reminded of the tumblr craze, only this time I decided I should give it a chance.

So, last night I created my tumblr account and got to work customizing it to match my VIRB account (as I tend to do with all sites customizable). So here it is. Like I said before, I don’t really have a use for a tumblelog, but maybe after this post I’ll find fellow tumblrs in my friends lists across the various social networks I belong to.
