I found a use for my Tumblr account
I’ve had a Tumblr account since they were first introduced, but I never really used it for much. At first I was using it to post cool little things I found around the internet, but eventually I stopped playing around with it. For the last year or so it’s just sat there importing entries from my personal blog and twitter account. Well, I’ve finally found a use for my Tumblr.
I really enjoy blogging, but don’t always have the time, energy, or inspiration to flush out a full post. I’ve really wanted to start making smaller, micro-posts (i.e. something somewhere between twitter and an actual blog post), but it’s not something I really want ‘contaminating’ my actual blog. So, I’ve turned to my good old friend Tumblr.
I’ve come up with a fun little series of micro-blogs that I will be updating spontaneously as I go about my days. I’ve created 3 tumblr’s (in addition to a simple hub for pulling in posts I do on other projects around the web):
‘I Love…’ (jbicloves.tumblr.com)
as I come across, discover, or rediscover things that I love, they’ll be posted here.
‘I Hate…’ (jbichates.tumblr.com)
as I encounter things, situations, and people that make me hate them, they’ll be posted here.
‘I Want…’ (jbicwants.tumblr.com)
as I stumble upon, uncover, or dig up awesome new things that I just have to get my hands on (in my dreams that is), they’ll be posted here.
Really, this is just a stupid little personal project that I thought would be fun, but we’ll see where it goes from here.
